1. Who We Are
Klue is a mobile word puzzle game developed and operated by [Your Name / Company Name] (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Identity Information
Klue supports three ways to play:
- Guest (anonymous) play. When you first open the app, we create an anonymous account identified by a randomly generated ID. No name, email, or contact information is required or collected.
- Email sign-in. If you choose to sign in with your email address, we collect your email address to send you a one-time verification code and to associate your game progress with your account. Your email is stored on our servers in normalized (lowercase) form.
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In. If you sign in through Apple or Google, we receive a provider-issued user identifier and, if Apple or Google provides it, your email address. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
2.2 Gameplay and Progress Data
To provide the game experience, we collect and store:
- Puzzle attempts, solutions, star ratings, and completion times
- Hint usage (type and count per puzzle)
- Daily run progress and streak data
- Pack and theme progress
- Coin and hint wallet balances
- Daily goal completions
This data is associated with your account ID and stored on our servers.
2.3 Purchase Information
If you make an in-app purchase (hint bundles, premium themes, or premium packs), the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
We use RevenueCat to verify purchase receipts, manage entitlements, and restore purchases across devices. RevenueCat receives your App Store transaction data linked to an anonymous app user ID. If you have signed in with an email address, that purchase history may be associated with your account.

2.4 Device and Technical Information
We collect standard technical data necessary to operate the service, including:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Anonymous session tokens
- Push notification device tokens (if you grant permission)
- Approximate timezone and locale (used to determine your local daily puzzle date)
We do not collect precise GPS location.
2.5 Communications
If you contact us for support, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message in order to respond to you.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your game account and progress
- Deliver the daily puzzle and track your streak
- Process and verify in-app purchases and restore entitlements
- Send your email verification code when you sign in (via Resend, our email delivery provider)
- Send push notifications about daily puzzles or rewards, if you have granted permission
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- Diagnose technical issues and improve the app
- Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve game design
We do not use your information for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
Klue uses the following third-party services that may process your data as part of providing the app:

We do not integrate advertising SDKs, ad networks, or cross-app tracking frameworks.
5. Data Retention
- Anonymous accounts with no sign-in and no purchases may be deleted after 12 months of inactivity.
- Email accounts and associated progress are retained for as long as your account is active.
- Purchase records are retained for the period required to fulfill entitlements and comply with legal obligations.
- If you request deletion of your account (see Section 8), we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We store your data on servers hosted by Railway in the United States. We use industry-standard practices including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed OTP codes, and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
Klue is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Notifications
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device’s system settings.
Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at david@jinelix.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
Access and Correction
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate information, by contacting us at david@jinelix.com.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to Know. You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete. You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No opt-out is required, but you may contact us to confirm this.
